FROM THE TOP ...1. Comme des Garcons Fall 2009 rtw.- this whole collection was a fluid and beautiful story of the modern day mistress with an ironic twist. (gotta love the mens style wing-tips with painted on toes). We all know Comme des Garcons does black, this season there was a lot of beautifully layered peachy colored mesh.
2.Givenchy Fall 2009 couture- GOLD,BLACK,WHITE,RED- incredible gold metal working, haunting and flowy silhouettes, INSANE head-pieces. This collection exuded intangible spirituality.
3. LANVIN Fall 2009 rtw- Alber Elbaz is every woman's favorite doctor,shrink,or cocktail. The over all look of the collection is retro, but has such an effortless modern edge. The detailing and embellishment he does on the cocktail pieces are unexpected and beautiful. It's old school parisian meets the streets.
4. RICK OWENS Fall 2009 rtw- leather.leather.leather. Beautiful geometric shapes and strong high necks, in both the signature dark grey/black and an unexpected almost white dove grey. I hope and prey to one day get my hands on some rick owens.
5. Gareth Pugh Spring 2010 rtw- amazing details all throughout the collection with unexpected cutouts and hemlines. This collection was glowing, in a sort of metallic or electric way.He used very luxurious fabrics like armour. SO COOL.
